it's june already??

So i had every intention of posting things maybe every 2 weeks. oops it's been longer. So hmm what's new? Well back in May I went on my very first cruise ever and I'll have to say all in all, it was a very good experience. It was through Royal Carribbean and my cruise ship's name was Majesty of the Seas.I went with my old roommates April and Claire and a classmate Stefonia. We went from Miami to the Bahamas, stopping off at CocoCay and Nassau. Great food, fabulous sun, great time with the girls. We went kayaking which is always a fun time. We also went para sailing, which was another first for me, it was tons of fun! I would recommend a cruise to anyone who has never been before!!

The same weekend Nathan had a weightlifting championship through the YMCA. Unfortunately I was unaware of the date conflicts and could not be there to support, but he did come in 4th place overall. Back in early May Nathan and I also went to the Busch Race at RIR. We were able to go into the pit and garage area. A friend of my family sponsors car #52, so she was able to hook us up with free passes. This is my second time doing this and Nathan's first. It's always fun being able to get up close and see the pit crew do their thing during pit stops. They know what they are doing and they are definitely fast. We both enjoyed the experience. Nathan even got his picture taken with one of the Race officials.
Later in the month, Nathan I decided it was time to finally make our family a little bigger. So we looked in the paper and called multiple places for a puppy. Finally we found her. Memorial Day, the 24th of May to be exact, we brought our puppy Sophie home with us. She is 5 months old now and full of personality, and she loves to cuddle. She happens to be a full bred Yorkshire Terrier and is so adorable. We love her and are having an interesting time with the house breaking. But she's so cute and loving that you can't get too upset with her when she has accidents. Recently I've been a little sick and missed some time from work, but am all better now, just in time to enjoy 100 degree weather in a vehicle whose air conditioning does not work. Oopsie. Luckily work is only about a 10 minute drive at most. Speaking of work, in Nathan's search for a new job, he has been invited to take a knowledge type test for Dominion Power and has passed it. The next few steps in their employment process are an interview, background check, and something else that is simple, but yet I forgot what it was. So things are looking good there and we will be very happy for this change! So please pray that we get it! I think that's pretty much all of the big things that have been going on in our lives. I'm sure there are many other things that I am forgetting, but oh well.

How fun to see what you guys are up to. Congrats on the new puppy. Tayson and Camden are begging for a puppy. We told them we needed to get a house first, and get out of our apartment. We'll see how quickly they request once we buy a house. Time to post again Whit!!!!! Hope all is well, did Nate get the job? We hope for the best for you guys!
